1. The heating part of the finned electric heating tube should be fully immersed in the heating medium to avoid damage to the finned electric heating tube due to insufficient heat dissipation exceeding the allowable heating temperature. In addition, the outgoing part of the wiring should be exposed on the insulation layer of the heater or outside the heater, so that this part should not overheat and be damaged.

2. When inputting power, the voltage should not exceed 10% of the rated voltage marked on various finned electric heating tubes. If applied below the rated voltage, the heat generated by the finned electric heating tube will also decrease accordingly.

3. When connecting the terminals of the finned electric heating tube, two nuts should be tightened relative to each other. Do not use excessive force to prevent the screws from loosening and causing damage to the finned electric heating tube.

4. When heating certain substances such as adhesive, such as sodium nitrate, stearic acid, paraffin, etc., the power supply voltage should be reduced at the beginning of heating to reduce the heat generation of the finned electric heating tube. When all of them are melted into liquid, they should be raised to the rated voltage for heating.

5. The terminal of the finned electric heating tube should be kept clean and dry, otherwise it will reduce the insulation performance and be short circuited and broken down. If applied in an environment with chemical corrosion, flammable, explosive liquids or gases, the wiring part of the finned electric heating tube should be tightly protected with insulation sealing devices to prevent accidents.

6. Finned electric heating pipes have been in use for a long time. If there is a thick accumulation of pipe scale and oil scale on the surface, it should be regularly removed, otherwise it will reduce the heat transfer performance of the finned electric heating pipe and cause damage to the surface heat load exceeding the rated allowable value.

7. The finned electric heating tube should be stored in a dry warehouse. If the surface is damp due to long-term storage, a megohmmeter should be used to measure the insulation resistance during use. If it is less than 1 megohm/500 volts, the finned electric heating tube should be placed in a 200 degree drying oven for drying.

8. When selecting finned electric heating tubes, special attention should be paid to the heating medium. There should be no erosion effect on the material of the finned electric heating tube shell.

9. Special finned electric heating pipes should read the relevant instructions carefully before installation and use to avoid damage.
